Product description |
|
– For the Construction
and Planning–
- Handicap accessible gangplank made upon request.
- Along with the construction of the floating gangplank
comes a stability calculation and certificate.
- Available for the plank top: Trimax plastic, Aluminium
and wood. As we recommend to our customers the Trimax, please see the
available brochures showing the advantages of this material in comparison
to others.
- Extra stable floatation with buoyant pipes built along
the side; chrome-nickel-plated of A4 grade.
- Trough the use of PEHD pipes as the method of floatation,
it is guaranteed that the floatation system will maintain in freezing
winter conditions and standing ice in the harbour.
Treatment of the underside of the floating system is not necessary!
- Use of special seawater-resistant aluminium tread. The
advantages of aluminium as opposed to other materials is its low maintenance
(e.g.- no further preservation necessary). Aesthetically, aluminium
is a very appealing material, and continues to meet the demands of the
customer for years to come.
- Flexible and noiseless linking elements, and weatherproof,
oil-resistant, UV-resistant and abrasion-proof skirting boards make
the equipment practically maintenance-free.
- Abrasion-proof skirting boards with full manoeuvrability,
main plank, outrigger and post fasteners; with these the yacht is protected
against any damage.
- The outrigger is adjustable to suit the size and width
of any yacht.
- Post fasteners come individually or already built in.
- Space-saving use of the water surface with no aft posts,
providing an optimal working relationship between the water surface
and the moorings.
- The lighting system as well as the power and water supply
can easily be installed upon request.

| |
| – For the User– |
|
 |
- Handicap accessible planks making wheelchair use no problem,
if taken into account during the planning stages.
- Convenient boarding and unloading for the water-sportsman;
with outriggers done easily from the side.
- Always the same buoyancy height over the water level,
so that all water level changes are evened out.
This is essential for the user in tidal areas.
- Water sport-friendly design, ecologically suited to the
surrounding landscape, to which Trimax plastic especially applies. All
of the equipment is very environmentally friendly in general.
- With the use of Trimax plastic, a walk on the installations
is guaranteed to be optimal. Not only does Trimax yield to body weight,
it is also slip-resistant, abrasive-proof and UV-resistant.

| – Entrance– |
|
 |
Seawater-proof aluminium binding construction,
plank top made from your choice of Trimax plastic, wood or aluminium plank
tops.
The top-side of the materials used is grooved and bound to the bridge.
Dockside are durable plastic rolls made out of polyamide while equipped
with a ramp and slide rails in place. On the land side are strong swivel
joints.

| |
| – Gangway Units– |
|
 |
Complete seawater resistant aluminium frame construction.
Plank top made from your choice of Trimax plastic, wood or aluminium gangway.
The top is grooved. Each of the related materials is bound tightly to
the aluminium frame construction. Black PEDH pipes along the sides are
used for the pipes for buoyancy, while both ends are capped off using
a butt welding method.
These pipes are UV-resistant, abrasive-proof and are bound to the dock
using Niro bands. The Niro bands are made out of chrome-nickel of A4 grade.
The moving skirting board material is made out of seawater- and UV-resistant,
and abrasive-proof rubber.
Also on the plank is a noiseless flexible hitching system made out of
polyurethane.

| – Outrigger– |
|
 |
Torsinonsfeste seawater-proof aluminium frame
construction bound to the dock with a trapezium-shaped bracing. Plank
top made from your choice of Trimax plastic, wood or aluminium gangway.
The top is grooved. Each of the related materials is bound tightly to
the aluminium frame construction. Black PEDH pipes along the sides are
used for the pipes for buoyancy, while both ends are capped off using
a butt welding method. The ones with the aluminium construction are fastened
and bounded using Niro bands. The Niro bands are made out of chrome-nickel
of A4 grade. The moving skirting board material is made out of seawater-
and UV-resistant, and abrasive-proof rubber.
Built onto the outrigger is noiseless elastic hitching system made out
of polyurethane.
Three hitches are built onto this. The entire length of the outrigger
is accessible and is adjustable to suit the size and width of any yacht.

| |
| – Post Attachments– |
|
 |
To keep the unit from ramming against posts, post fasteners are necessary.
These are made out of seawater resistant aluminium construction and come
equipped with four rollers made out of plastic (polyamide). The movable
skirting boards are made out of UV-resistant, abrasive-proof rubber.
The connection to the gangplank is installed with noiseless, flexible,
polyurethane hitches.
All shafts and supports are made of chrome-nickel of A4 grade and are
interchangeable and easily replaceable.
|
| |
| |
| |
| – Moorings– |
|
 |
The moorings are made from seawater-resistant aluminium piping and are
welded to an aluminium sheet. These are then attached to the gangplank
with Niro bolts. In addition, we offer the moorings in double-crossed
bollards made of seawater-resistant aluminium pipe. Both moorings are
made so that, after the instalment onto the plank, they lean away from
the water, making contact with the boat impossible.

| – Recommend surfacing – |
|
 |
Naturally we use any material that the customer desires, for example plastic,
wood or aluminium. However, our experience from the last several projects
has shown that the future of surfaces in gangway construction will be
Trimax plastic.
For further reading on why this is, read the following
(“Die Yacht”, issue –2002):
Raw materials recycling helps in harbour
construction
Wood substitute – From afar, it almost looks like wood;
it can be worked with just like wood (except gluing); it floats like wood;
and it costs about the same as oak or tropical hardwood. Advantageous
in comparison to natural resources, Trimax is a recycled material from
pure polyethylene and known for its almost unlimited durability, and resistance
to insects and rotting. The material is made by extracting polyethylene
from dish washing and shampoo bottles and mixing it with fibreglass. Then
through a special process it is transformed into highly condensed polyethylene
(HDPE). Scantlings, planks, boards and beams in preferred lengths are
made from this. The material can be used several times, so that refuse
and old material can go back into the production process. Trimax is suitable
for the construction of harbours and gangways.
